Not so long ago, I was fortunate enough to get to know and talk with an incredible person — Claire Carpenter! As an award-winning leader, successful social entrepreneur, and renowned executive coach, Claire founded The Melting Pot — Scotland’s Centre for Social Innovation — as one of the world’s first coworking spaces way back in 2005.

Since then, under Claire’s dedicated stewardship, the organization has seen a remarkable amount of growth and success. They have diversified the ways they are able to make a social impact while also navigating the recent Covid crisis by pivoting quickly and leveraging their collective commitment and skills to more than double their membership in under a year.

The Melting Pot is not only involved in coworking but also provides consultancy/leadership coaching services which involve helping others create great coworking hubs/cultures as well as generating social impact through the innovation of tools, methodologies, and services.

Through their incubation program, which is now being shared with partners for delivery outside their hub, they have helped hundreds of individuals create ‘Good Ideas’ for social change.

Now you have a unique chance to hear more about Claire’s journey with The Melting Pot, her views on the role of social innovation in carving out a better future for all, and what it takes to make a success of your own dreams.
